Day Lily Grape Ripples
Grape Ripples is known for its brilliant purple / violet colored blooms with a darker purple colored center, and a yellow / orange colored throat. Foliage is a nice medium to dark green, and is very grasslike in appearance. Blooms begin in mid season, and persist throughout the summer months. This variety is an excellent re-bloomer, meaning that it is known to produce several "waves" of blooms throughout the summer months, rather then just one heavy bloom period in early summer. Good numbers of blooms generally appear all throughout summer, and well into the early fall. Re-blooming can be further increased & encouraged through the removal of old, expired blooms & stalks ( scapes ).
